Should I bring sheets & towels?

Most of the rental units do NOT provide sheets & bath towels. Linen rental may be arranged through local linen rental companies. Otherwise, you will need to bring your own linens, blankets and towels, as well as paper products, trash bags, dish washing soap and toiletries. Kitchens are equipped with dishes, flatware, glasses, pots and pans. Please make sure to bring your toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, trash bags, and toiletries.

What should I pack along?

Please pack your toilet paper, toiletries: soap, shampoo, etc., wash clothes, paper towels, dish soap, trash bags, beach towels, extra pillows & blankets, sheets and bath towels (if unit does not specify that those are provided with the rental).

What does a fully stocked kitchen mean?

Fully stocked kitchen means there is a full size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, silverware, dishes, cups. You may find more items in the kitchen, as each owner can choose to add any additional items, but the above listed items are required to be there.

Will someone clean my unit during my stay?

No, there is no daily maid service during your stay. Cleaning company will arrive at 10am on your departure date to clean the unit after your departure.

Was my rental unit sanitized after the last guest’s checked out?

Yes, the cleaning company taking care of the check out clean is using CDC approved cleaning products that disinfect all surfaces to be safely used by you and your family.

Do I have to clean the unit upon my departure?

All you need to do to prior to leaving the unit is:

  • Remove all food and personal belongings
  • Wash all dishes, dry them and put them away
  • Leave sheets (if provided in unit), blankets, comforters, pillows where they were upon your arrival
  • Check all drawers, cupboards, dressers and closets for any personal items and trash & remove them
  • Do not leave excess trash, hair, sand, crumbs on floors
  • Remove all trash and take it to the nearest dumpster
  • Close all windows and doors and lock them

Can I still park on the property after I check out?

Your vehicle is registered to be on the property till 10am on the check-out day, unless otherwise authorized by the reception agent.

Swimming Pools

Most rental units offer access to outdoor pools. Typically pools are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Pools are closed periodically for maintenance without notice. Hours of operation vary according to the pool, but generally they are open 10am – 8pm.

Parking

Generally, there is one off-street parking space that is included with your unit rental. Larger units may offer more than 1 space. There is free street parking available in the area.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are allowed in some units only. Please make sure to pick a pet friendly unit and mention that you’re bringing a pet. There are pet fees associated with bringing a pet.

How many pets can you have in the unit?

Depending on the size of the dog(s) and the size of the unit, there may be  a limit of 2 or 3 dogs per unit.

Can I bring my pitbull?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow pitbulls in any rental units.

Can I leave my dog unattended in the unit?

If you leave your dog in the unit, he/she should be always crated to avoid any accidental damage and to make sure personnel can access the unit in case of emergency.

What if I cannot make the payment on due date?

If you cannot get your payment to us prior to/on the due date, you can contact us to make arrangements.

Why do I have to pay 3% credit card convenience fee?

We are the agent for the owners of the units securing the rentals for their rental units and earning a small percentage as our compensation.  Credit card companies charge fees ranging from 3% for any payments processed on the cards. We as an agent assume the initial costs for the down payment, but are unable to carry more costs associated with the payment in full of the rental contract, so every customer is given an option to make the payments with check, money order or cash or use their credit card taking on the cost of processing the card.

How do I avoid paying the 3% credit card convenience fee?

To avoid paying the 3% credit card convenience fee, mail in check or money order or make a cash payment in person.

Can I make payments on my reservation online?

Unfortunately,  only the initial payment can be made online. All other payments have to be mailed in or called in. Checks or money orders can be written out to Beach Getaways Management, and mailed to 211 N Baltimore Ave, Ocean City, MD 21842.

Can I pay security deposit on credit card?

Security deposit should be paid by check  (if received at least 2 weeks prior to arrival) money order unless other arrangements are made with the reservationist.

How old do I have to be to make a reservation?

One has to be 18 years old to make a reservation in his/her name.

Does Beach Getaways rent to those under 18?

Yes, we rent to those under 18, with a signed group rental agreement that has parent signatures on it for those who are not 18 at the time of signing the agreement.

Is there a security guard on duty?

Yes, during the months of May – September, most condo associations have a security guard on duty keeping an eye on all rental units. This security officer does not work for Beach Getaways Management, but does report to our office if anything happens with the rental units that we take care of.

Check in at Beach Bum Inn, 211 N Baltimore Ave, Ocean City, MD 21842.

What time is check in?

Check in time is 3pm. If the unit is ready earlier, we will let you check in prior to 3pm, but not earlier than 1pm.

I will arrive late – what do I do?

If you are arriving after 4pm, please contact the office on the day of arrival to make arrangements.

I am checking out before 10am on check out day, what should I do?

No problem, make sure you prepare your unit for departure, drop the keys and parking passes in the check –in envelope, and drop the envelope in the “key drop” box by the front door at 211 N Baltimore Ave.

When will I get my security deposit back?

Security deposits are processed within 21 business days after departure. If a credit card was authorized in lieu of collecting cash/check for security deposit, you will not see any charges or refunds for it as long as there was no deductions billed by owner of the unit or their cleaning company.

What if I need to cancel due to COVID-19?

If you are unable to make it to Ocean City due to testing positive for COVID or having to quarantine, please call to cancel your booking as soon as possible so there is a chance to re-book your rental unit and issue a refund less 16% cancellation fee. Unfortunately, if the unit is not re-rented, no refunds will be issued.

Office is open 7 days a week 10am – 5pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day for check ins.
